Auditions will be cold readings from the script.

This will be an adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles

A singular crime demands a singular detective, and the web of mystery surrounding Baskerville Hall is so strange that only the great Sherlock Holmes can take on the case. A local legend of a phantom hound is easily dismissed over a cup of tea, but when Lord Baskerville is found dead beside the footprints of just such a creature and his heir receives an ominous warning, Holmes and his loyal friend Watson must discover the truth about the danger lurking on the desolate moor. When the game's afoot and the fog rolls in, will the unflappable master of logic meet his match in the jaws of the supernatural? Jon Jory's adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles is as swift and clever as the famous detective himself.

Character Descriptions

  • Sherlock Holmes: The legendary master of logic and deduction who investigates the "supernatural" threat to the Baskerville line.

  • Dr. John Watson: Holmes’ loyal friend and narrator; he accompanies the heir to Baskerville Hall to conduct the initial investigation.

  • Dr. Jenna Mortimer: A friend of the late Sir Charles Baskerville and a medical professional who fears the family curse. She brings the case to Holmes to ensure the safety of the new heir.

  • Sir Henry Baskerville: The sturdy, alert heir to the estate who returns from North America to claim his inheritance despite ominous warnings.

  • Jack Stapleton: An ostensibly gentle and bookish entomologist living on the moor; he hides a short temper and a manipulative nature.

  • Miss Stapleton: Introduced as Jack's sister, she is a "Latin beauty" who attempts to secretly warn Sir Henry of the danger on the moor.

  • Mr. Barrymore: The gaunt, bearded, and secretive butler of Baskerville Hall whose mysterious nighttime activities initially make him a suspect.

  • Mrs. Barrymore: The portly and earnest housekeeper; in this specific adaptation, her subplot involving an escaped convict brother is removed.

  • Laura Lyons: A local woman in distress who has been manipulated by Stapleton and was intended to meet Sir Charles on the night of his death.

  • Mr. Frankland: A litigious and eccentric local man who provides comic relief while inadvertently offering clues to the detectives.

  • Cabman: Unknowingly drives the bearded antagonist who is stalking Sir Henry Baskerville in London.
